Poseidon Gardens thermal park – For €25 a day visitors can dunk in 22 hot spring pools with temperatures ranging from fifteen to forty degrees, restoring body & soul. There is also a large private beach.

Villa La Mortella – Often known as Villa Walton, so named after the English composer, Sir William Walton and his wife Susana. A mesmerizing display of Flora and Fauna; over three thousand plants, tropical greenhouses and the largest water-lilly in the world.

Cassamicciola

Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa thermal baths. Built in 1863 by Luigi Manzi, the Spa sits right beside the legendary Gurgitiello Spring which rises up from the heart of the Ischia volcano.

Sant’Angelo

This picturesque fishing village South of the island is an exquisite little charmer. Stylish cafés, chic boutiques and the inviting, private Banana Beach.

Stay at the pleasant and popular 3-star Hotel Residence Sant’ Angelo. Friendly Proprietors Pepe and his wife Angela go out of their way to make sure that their guests enjoy themselves.

The spacious rooms are simply furnished with kitchenettes, some with balcony and sea view. Rooms from €60 euros a night for two BB – Seaview Supplement €15 per night. The hotel has a large roof terrace with a panoramic view of the coastline and an al fresco thermal pool, there’s another indoors. It’s mainly B & B – continental breakfast with freshly baked croissants and Neapolitan specialities, which Pepe is delighted to personally serve his guests. Snacks of Bruschetta and pizza are available if required at lunch or dinner. Having no restaurant as such, friendly Pepe’s discounts spread to all compass points on the island.

Maronti beach – a water taxi from Sant Angelo. 3km sandy stretch with sunbeds, parasols and nice unpretentious restaurants along the waterfront.

Taxis are expensive – a hefty €10 minimum charge. However bus tickets are re-usable and take care of most trips for travellers staying in Ischia for a week.
